Dinner at Chef Mickey's

We left Epcot in the early afternoon so we could all go back to the room and cool off and get ready for our dinner at Chef Mickeys. We had reservations at 7:00pm, so after we all rested and got cleaned up, we took the bus back to Magic Kingdom and then road the monorail to the Contemporary Resort where Chef Mickeys is located. We had to wait a little while for our table, but it was worth it!

Breakfast with the Princesses

Today we had reservations at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for breakfast with the Princesses. We had to be there at 9:45 and we still had to get our tickets validated at the park window, so we were up and out early. We boarded the bus and headed to Epcot. After making it through security and getting our tickets all set, we headed to Norway to have breakfast. As soon as we got inside, we had our picture taken with Belle. Lily Mei was so excited when she saw Mary Poppins and Jasmine making their way around the room. After we got our table and food off the buffet, we waited for our turn.

After eleven hours on the road, through traffic and thunderstorms, we finally saw the big "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign. Yippee!!! We decided that we would go ahead and try to find the Shades of Green hotel to get our tickets before we headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge. So after driving around in circles forever, we found where the hotel and Steve and David went inside to get our tickets. Then we headed for our own hotel!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful! We had a 2 bedroom villa that overlooked the savannah. As soon we got in, we went out on the balcony and saw giraffes, zebras, ostrich, and some kind of antelope. Lily Mei was so excited! We were all really tired, so we decided to just stay in for the night. The big kids went to find something to eat and Lily, Steve and I made sandwiches and enjoyed watching the animals.
